Are you ready to find the one thing that excites you in
your empty nest stage of life?
Who Am I Now?
Explore your possibilities as an empty nest mom
You feel lost without your kids in your daily life now.
You don’t know what to do with yourself.
You still have ‘something‘ to give but you don’t know what that looks like or how to do it.
- You feel empty & confused.
- You’re not sure what to do or what to try.
- You want something to give you direction again.
- You feel lost without the need to take care of your kids on a daily basis.
- You’re eager for something to fill the hole in your life.
- You just want to feel happy with your life.
What do I do now???
Without a doubt, I know that you spent so much time and energy on your kids. Whether you were a stay-at-home mom or you worked full-time, you were still fully engaged as a mom. You have developed skills and talents that helped you to raise your kids. However, now that your kids are in college, those skills just aren’t needed in the same way. Clearly it’s a bittersweet time of life. You’re feeling both happy and sad at the same time.
I get it!
I’ve been there too!
I felt so happy that my kids were growing and exploring as they entered college. However, I also was left without much of an idea of what I was going to do with myself. I spent 18+ years creating skills that I don’t need in the same way anymore.
Maybe it’s a relief to not be in that mom role full-time or maybe you’re heartbroken to be in this time of life. Or maybe a combination of both. Being an empty nest mom is confusing at times!
Originally, I was somewhere in the middle. Whether you are excited about this stage of life or you are sad, you are faced with the challenge of figuring out who you are right now.
I have good news for you though, I did figure it out!
I remember what it’s like to not know what I want do with myself once my kids move out of the house.
My daughter got into a boarding school when she was just 16 and left home early. It hit me then that my time as a full-time mom was coming to an end fast. I also knew that I didn’t want to keep doing what I was currently doing. Back then, I was teaching about 15 yoga classes a week and I was tired all of the time. I wanted to do more in my yoga career but I knew that I couldn’t teach more classes. Eventually, I discovered that I could shift to yoga therapy and still help women improve their lives.
After my son also went to boarding school at age 16, I became an empty nest mom early. Luckily, I had already completed most of my yoga therapy training & I was ready to dive into my new passion and focus.
Now, my focus is on helping other women navigate this difficult transition from full-time mom to empty nester.
It’s not always an easy transition. In fact for many moms it can be difficult and scary. I remember feeling lost, alone and confused. I had spent over 18 years perfecting skills to take care of my kids and now I had little idea what to do with all of those skills or my extra time.
It did take some trial and error but when I uncovered my new focus, things began to click for me.
I went through this transition without any help, but you don’t have to do it alone. I’ll give you guidance to make the transition smoother and easier.
My Life Now as an empty nest mom…
Everything has shifted for me. Since going through this major life change, I’ve started a business and slowly realigned my life so that if fits me in this stage of my life. I’ve reconnected to what is important to me. Now, I know what I need to do in order to decide on my next steps as the need arises. I listen to my own body’s wisdom on a daily basis and I’m excited for my path forward!
My clients get results like…
- deciding on a new career path
- quitting an unfulfilling job to do something meaningful
- choosing between staying or leaving a marriage
- starting a business
- mentoring foster kids
- listening to their bodies and the inner wisdom within
- reclaiming self-love
“While I know that I will be emotional during this transition of L. moving into the dorm and starting his next phase of life, I am also realizing that it is a new phase for me, too, and my new job is just one part of it. There will be other new things for me to try, too! I want to do more yoga, and read more books for pleasure, and maybe get to know my hubby a little better (L. going to college will affect him, too), and I want to spend more time with friends and do fun things that are meaningful to me. So, yes, I am feeling emotional about L. going to college, but thanks to Becky and this course, I see it as a new beginning for me, full of possibilities. And I don’t feel the gut-wrenching sadness and emptiness that I was afraid I might. Instead, I am actually excited to see what this new phase will bring about for me! ❤️”
